We care people in our old age home with compassion, understanding, and a person-centered approach. We provide the following services:
Establishing Trust and Rapport: WE build a trusting and respectful relationship with the residents. We take time to get to know each individual, their preferences, interests, and life history. We show empathy, active listening, and validate their feelings and experiences.
Promoting Independence: We support and encourage residents to maintain their independence to the greatest extent possible. We foster a sense of autonomy by involving them in decision-making, allowing them to perform self-care tasks, and providing opportunities for choice and control over their daily routines.
Providing Physical Care: We assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating. Provide appropriate assistance, maintaining their dignity and privacy. Attend to their personal hygiene needs and ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
Medication Management: We administer medications as prescribed, adhering to the proper dosage, timing, and documentation. Ensure medication safety, including proper storage and monitoring for any side effects or interactions.
Giving Emotional Support: Be attentive to residents’ emotional well-being. Listen to their concerns, validate their emotions, and offer comfort and reassurance. Engage in conversation, reminiscence therapy, or therapeutic activities to promote social interaction and emotional connection. Social Engagement: We facilitate social interaction and engagement among residents. Organize group activities, outings, and events that promote socialization, hobbies, and interests. Encourage participation in community activities and maintain connections with family and friends.
Ensuring Nutrition and Hydration: We ensure residents have access to nutritious meals and hydration throughout the day. Accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences and monitor their eating and drinking habits. Collaborate with dieticians or nutritionists as needed.
Safety and Fall Prevention: We Create a safe environment by removing hazards, maintaining proper lighting, and ensuring assistive devices are available as needed. Implement fall prevention strategies such as handrails, grab bars, and non-slip flooring.
Healthcare Coordination: We collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical and healthcare needs. Schedule and accompany residents to appointments, communicate changes in health status, and facilitate follow-up care.
Emotional and Spiritual Support: We recognize and support residents’ emotional and spiritual needs. Offer opportunities for religious or spiritual practices, access to counseling services if available, and foster a sense of belonging and purpose.
Regular Evaluation and Communication: We continuously evaluate and reassess the care provided to residents. Regularly communicate with the care team, families, and residents to ensure the care plan remains appropriate and responsive to changing needs.
